Located on 200 lush acres in Aubrey, Texas, Cardinal Reining Horses is an elite reining horse operation quickly moving to the forefront of the performance horse industry. The facility was purchased summer of 2013 by Joao Marcos. A native of Brazil, Joao Marcos is fully committed to supporting and developing the sport of reining on an international level.

Home of the Legacy Sale each October, Cardinal Ranch features one of the largest private covered arenas in the world, a first class show barn, 200+ stalls, and a state of the art breeding operation with a full time veterinarian. Shortly after purchasing the ranch, Joao Marcos worked with NRHA One Million Rider Tom McCutcheon to purchase a group of broodmares and nearly 40 of their offspring by leading stallions. Bob Loomis Quarter Horses

With six championships, Bob Loomis has more NRHA Open Futurity victories than any other rider in the industry. Not only is Bob in the NRHA Hall of Fame; but so is his phenomenal stallion, Topsail Whiz. Bob Loomis has been training reining horses since 1967. He began his breeding program in 1974, which now operates at the cutting edge of equine reproduction.

Loomis ranch currently stands Chromed Out Mercedes, NRBC Open Champion and earner of over $146,000. He also owned and stood NRHA #1 All time leading sire, Topsail Whiz, NRHA’s All Time Leading Sire, and one of his exceptional sons, West Coast Whiz, earner of $131,592. One of the reining industry’s top professional riders, Tom McCutcheon has earned over $1 Million in NRHA events. McQuay Stables is a state-of-the-art Reining and Hunter & Jumper training, sales and breeding facility located in Tioga, Texas, the heart of North Texas horse country. The facility consists of three properties to house approximately two-hundred horses, with an average of eighty in training at all times. Dell Hendricks Reining Horses, Inc.

Dell began riding horses at an early age, and enjoyed roping and working cows. In 1992 he graduated with a degree in Horse Training & Management from Lamar College in Colorado, and began training reining horses during an internship with Bob Loomis while still in college. He continued to ride with Bob after graduating from college and, less than a year later, was tapped by one of Bob’s clients, Pat Warren, to be the head trainer for Rancho Oso Rio. After eight years of working with Rancho Oso Rio, Dell decided to pursue his lifetime dream of owning and operating his own breeding and training facility, and moved to Texas to make that dream a reality. Dell owns and operates a 50-acre ranch located in Tioga, Texas. The ranch boasts a state-of-the-art breeding and training operation.

In 1994, he placed third on Taris Little Vintage at the NRHA Open Futurity, and rode that same mare to the 1995 AQHA World Championship in Junior Reining. In 1997, Dell earned the honors of NRHA Derby Reserve Champion on Hangten Peppy, and rode BH Hollywood Lady to the 1998 Reserve Futurity Championship. In 1999 he won the NRHA Futurity Championship title aboard Hollywood Vintage, and also earned the opportunity to compete in the first United States Equestrian Team Festival of Champions in Gladstone, New Jersey. In 2003, Dell won the USET/Cosequin Festival of Champiions reserve title riding Starlights Wrangler and was the All-American Quarter Horse Congress Futurity Champion on Starbucks Sidekick. Dell has won AQHA World Championship and Reserve Championship titles, won the NRBC Champion five times, and the NRHA Derby Reserve Champion three times. In 2000 and 2002, Dell was a member of the USET Nation’s Cup Team USA that brought home the Gold Medal. In 2001, Dell and Team USA traveled to Germany to claim the USET Nation’s Cup Silver Medal. In 2003, Dell and Starlights Wrangler were the individual Silver Medallists at the USET Festival of Champions. In 2006, Dell and Starbucks Sidekick, along with teammates, Tim McQuay, Matt Mills, Aaron Ralston, and Tom McCutcheon, traveled to Germany to bring home the Gold Medal for Team USA and the World Equestrian Games in Aachen, Germany.

In 2005, Dell became and NRHA Million Dollar Rider, and has over $1,675,000 in lifetime earnings. Hendricks Reining Horses, Inc. is the home to Starlights Wrangler, owned by Hendricks Broten Equine Assets. Dell’s keen focus on training and showing high qualify reining horses, developing a world-class breeding program for reining horse prospects, and his keep interest in providing the best conditioning program (training, exercise, and nutrition) for each state of each horse’s life at the ranch, have made him a trainer with whom sponsors want to be associated. Dell and his wife, Terri and their son, Jimmy, own and operate Hendricks Reining Horses, Inc. in Tioga, Texas. Heikes Quarter Horses

Troy is a respected professional trainer with over $542,000 in lifetime NRHA earnings. Along the way, he has made the finals of every major NRHA category 2 event, including the NRHA Open Futurity, the NRHA Open Derby, the NRBC, CRBC, and the AQHA Congress Futurity. Troy also is a multiple APHA World Champion and AQHA World show finalist, and has won the Kansas Sunflower Slide Futurity, the RMRHA Summerslide Futurity, and the CRBC Futurity.

Over the years, Troy has trained and shown many outstanding horses, including Malt Whizkey, In it for the Chics, Leofritz Baby Boots, Double D Boot Jac, Sayos Shining Sun, Hello Starshine, Vintage Boots, Gyrating Gentleman, Shiney Walla Wanda, Nestle Quik Chic, Whole Lotta Jac, and Jacs Electric Spark. He also specializes in non-pro instruction, and many of his non-pros have taken top honors such as world championships and NRHA titles. Some of the outstanding non pro mounts that he has trained include RU Missin Diamonds, Just Gotta Shine, Mr Chocoholic and Flawless Footwork. He recently was a member of Team USA at the 2014 World Equestrian Games.

A major part of Heikes Quarter Horses is the breeding end of the business. They owned NRHA Two Million Dollar Sire, Jacs Electric Spark. Though Jacs Electric Spark passed away in 2012, the Heikes continue a breeding program centered around him and a small but proven group of mares with outstanding credentials.

One of NRHA’s few $2 Million Dollar owners, Arcese Quarter Horses at the forefront of international reining excellence. Owner Eluterio Arcese is a 2004 NRHA Hall of Fame inductee.
